Adventure wine tours offer groups the opportunity to experience something quite different to the norm.

Groups of up to 9 passengers, traveling in a state of the art, comfortable 4x2 open canopy game viewer, are driver-guided through award winning vineyards and fruit orchards. Embrace nature, taste excellent wines and enjoy an optional picnic lunch enroute!

The beautiful Elgin valley is well established as a cool wine production area, at 400m + above sea level just a few Km from the sea in the Kogelberg biosphere reserve. A wide variety of  ideal soil types, producing wine with unusual complexity in this Mountain valley, much tonnage of grapes are sold to many Stellenbosch wine blenders. Stop on the way on the Garden route and have some fun for the day !!

We have 2 wine routes in the Elgin Valley, four to five wine tastings on the Day Tour  time permitting  - All the estates are selected from top quality producers with an option to purchase at estate prices. The Cap Clasique visit includes an educational cellar tour on the French method conducted by the owner.

Tour Route one meets at Oak valley estates, easy to find Just off the N2. See map.

From the start after tasting the range we travel though the farm of 4,000 oak trees, beef, apple, pear production on the farm roads across the fields  to Paul Cluver wines the oldest producer in the valley  mostly award winning, exceptional quality at affordable prices. We lunch here (optional at 'fresh' gourmet on the estate ) after lunch we head down across the valley to south hill wines meeting with the owners, highly personable folk, passionate about their wine production, this is also a gourmet lunch venue of choice, menus can be mailed and are changed often, they offer modern high quality  accommodation for guests at good rates  as well

Paul Wallace is a renown wine consultant /producer we visit his establishment for a fun informative tasting en route in the valley here you will learn much about the local industry he and his wife Nicky are warm, personable very clued   Continuing around the base of the mountain drive we arrive at Cathy Marshal wines, the  her website is well worth a visit !

Tour Route two meets at Peregrine Farm Stall on the N2 see map. We start from this point. We visit the Elgin Vintners private manor house, a traditional manor house set up for the Range tasting , an exquisite setting on the farm.
Shannon cool Wines along the exceptionally beautiful Palmiet River, with an excellent range of wines as well as friendly informative expert service.

Charles Fox. Cap Clasique producer, certainly one of the top if not the best French style innovators Almankerk wines further on our ride to stop off. Rated one of the top cool wines producers. A modern state of the art cellar suiting the variance of pallet, on the Day tour there are about 30 wines to choose from to suit all preferences you will not be disappointed, please drop a mail for further detail should you wish.
